Wedding Review

Potts & Pans was the perfect fit for our beach wedding on the shores of Lake Michigan. We had Anthony come and preform for the ceremony and cocktail hour on our big day. He came early to set up and was very professional. My husband and I would recommend Potts & Pans to anyone looking(…)

Wedding Review

I had been planning my ceremony music with Potts & Pans for about a year. Every single time I emailed or called, I got a response within a business day or two. The song list they have is long and fun! I had a Caribbean themed wedding so I wanted to make sure they knew(…)

Solo Review

Potts & Pans were fabulous for our music program at a Rockford Park District music event. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the music as well as our performer, Anthony. Anthony did a great job of giving background and the history the steel drum while performing. The audience participation was fabulous & guests left with(…)

Fundraiser Review

Anthony (Houston) of Potts & Pans was a pleasure to work with and his sound was fantastic. His music brought the light, Caribbean feel that we wanted. It wasn’t obtrusive; it simply added to the festive atmosphere. -Kathy   Read on Original Site

News & updates

I love this season – the food, the drink, and even the weather are all ideally suited to my tastes. The work is good too. Last week I played Timpani for the Red Mass at St. Joseph’s in Libertyville. I started playing here a few months back and have fortunate to be able to return a few times, and have scheduled to do so plenty more. Having grown up sitting next to my dad in church choir, participating as either a percussionist or a singer in various church ensembles throughout high school and college, and seeing my fair share since as a professional, it is not lightly that I say how nice this church choir sounds. The director, Ron, has worked with the choir to have them react well to a conductor (rare for ANY choir) and blend their sound beautifully. Ron has also gathered a very talented group of musicians that I am truly pleased to play with when the opportunities arise.

Later, I took my Central Kids to the Oswego Marching Band Showcase. This is a mix between concert and competition. The whole band did wonderful, and I was really pleased with how my Drumline played. You can hear them at either of our remaining football games (10/17 & 10/24) or at our Band Showcase on 10/25.

Rounding out this week, Matt and I headed up to Lake Geneva yesterday to play for their Oktoberfest celebration. We were there last year, and they asked us to come back this year (because we are so awesome!) We did vibes and pan mostly, but also brought some hand drums for the kids to play with us, and then did some vibes and accordion on a couple German tunes. The crowd reaction was great and the festival was a lot of fun.

That’s it for now. Check back for more.

We all know that America is the best country in the World – so Matt Potts and I put together a recording of all the Armed Forces songs for Memorial Day. We sent the video out on all of our social media sources this past Monday, but if you missed it:

Another 5 Star Review

I took a Potts & Pans Trio to the Chicago Cigar Show this year, was was an opening event for the Chicago Pipe Show. I go to this show every year, and was super excited to land this gig. Show Coordinator Craig, along with the many guests, loved the music, and we are scheduled to return next year!CCS Review
